Lago Brasimone is an artificial lake built in the Bologna Apennines in 1911 by the damming of the Brasimone stream; it is inserted inside the Parco dei Laghi Suviana and Brasimone.

How to get

From the A1 Bologna – Firenze motorway: take the Pian del Voglio exit, at the toll booth follow the signs for the Park, passing through Castiglione dei Pepoli.

From the SS 64 Porrettana: coming from Bologna you can reach Riola di Vergato where you turn off for Camugnano, always following the signs for the Park. Coming from Pistoia at the junction to Traviano, deviate to Suviana following the signs for the Park.

From the SS 325 Val Bisenzio: from Prato to Castiglione dei Pepoli, where you follow the signs for the Park.
